Above: John McCain and Sarah Feylin appear on the QVC to plug their campaign and sell some goodies.

Above: Johnnie Mac breaks down his aresenal of Hail Marys. Basically his 2 minute/day offense is all kinds of garbage.

Above: McCain employs the Reverse Maverick aka the Crash & Burn

Above: Ben Affleck impersonates Keith Olbermann to a T. Hilarious.

Slick Dick Cheney endorses McCain and Palin

And just when the McCain campaign could have really used a break, the Evil Emperor emerges from his cave and puts the nail in McCain's coffin. I didn't think Johnny Mac could have gotten a worse endorsement than that of our Puppet in Chief, but then Gepetto showed up.

Obama was quick to capitalize:
"Here's my question for you, Colorado: Do you think Dick Cheney is delighted to support John McCain because he thinks John McCain's going to bring change? Do you think John McCain and Dick Cheney have been talking about how to shake things up, and get rid of the lobbyists and the old boys club in Washington?"

Terrible Terry Tate beasts on the illiterate

Props to Benhameen
I know you're looking at this view window thinking "Yeah yeah I saw her illiterate ass with Couric hella days ago." This is not that video. At the end the governor gets a nasty wake up call from Terrible Terry Tate, the Office Linebacker/Literacy coach. If you're not up on the genius that is OSPN's athlete of the century, then you need to do your homework!

Girls of America prod Palin to fall back

A bunch of young girls and teenagers implore Sarah Palin not to undo all that their grandmothers and mothers have accomplished in the fight for womens' rights. It is no secret, that while the Republican party is trying to trump up Palin as a feminist, there is nothing remotely feminist about the young governor. In fact, by masquerading as some sort of woman's activist while seeking to strip women of their rights, she transforms feminism into a hollow idea very palatable to mysogynistic men. Please don't vote for her just because she is a woman, look at what she stands for.

George W. Ferrell endorses McCain & Feylin

Will Ferrell returns to offer an ill-advised endorsement to that Eskihoe and her ornery grandpa. LOL @ Bush's "Bummer Free Zone" that led him to believe his approval ratings and the economy were both up.

Sarah Silverman and The Great Schlep

Sarah Silverman can be pretty offensive, but she is also pretty damn funny. In this short video, Sarah encourages every Jewish grandchild to schlep down to Florida to convince their grandparents to vote for Obama. Below Sarah appears on Countdown with Keith Olberman to expound on the video, clown her unfortunate namesake (Palin), and talk a gang of random shit as she does so well.

Hockey mom Palin booed at NHL hockey game

Check out Miss Alaska gettin dissed in the City of Brotherly Love. Classic! Also please peep the Obama- Biden signs in the background.

Lynn Zinser of the Times reports that Palin was greeted with "resounding (almost defeaning) boos." FOX News, on the other hand, reports that the reaction was "mixed." Who's right? Check out this clip comparing the real footage with the footage FOX uses to make its case.

Looks like Sarah brought her daughters along as a human shields:

The GOP Vice-Presidential nominee said at an earlier fundraiser that she would stop some of the booing from the rowdy Philadelphia fans by putting her seven year old daughter, Piper in a Flyers jersey. She said, "How dare they boo Piper!"

The Terrorist Barack Hussein Obama

Great article by Frank Rich of the NYTimes
Excerpt below, full article here
"From the start, there have always been two separate but equal questions about race in this election. Is there still enough racism in America to prevent a black man from being elected president no matter what? And, will Republicans play the race card? The jury is out on the first question until Nov. 4. But we now have the unambiguous answer to the second: Yes. . .

But we’re not at Election Day yet, and if voters are to have their final say, both America and Obama have to get there safely. The McCain campaign has crossed the line between tough negative campaigning and inciting vigilantism, and each day the mob howls louder. The onus is on the man who says he puts his country first to call off the dogs, pit bulls and otherwise."

McCain-Palin mob unsurprisingly ignorant

So there is a reason that the McCain campaign is trying to restrict media access to its rallies. Namely because they have become fear mongering episodes, reminiscent of Dave Chapelle's Hater's Ball, that lack any credibility. That and of course that their supporters don't exactly demonstrate many signs of critical thinking or intelligence.

Always scary to see intelligence become synonymous with elitism and ignorance to be dubbed American.

Scarface also not feelin McCain

Some choice words from Face. Man Johnny Mac was the not crazy one on the ticket a few days ago, and now he seems to be vying for the title. For the record, Palin is still way more off her rocker. McCain is definitely more likely to sit in one on his porch though.

NOW LA President endorses McCain/Palin!

via Jezebel.com
"News of National Organization for Women L.A. President Shelly Mandell's endorsement of John McCain, but especially Sarah Palin, is blowing up all over the blogosphere. You might wonder how a woman who helped organize the March for Women's Lives, the thousands-strong pro-choice rally in 2004, has, four years later, decided that women's lives aren't that important after all. . ."
________
Wow. Just wow. The important thing here is that NOW did not endorse the Republican ticket, just this one woman with severe reality perception deficiencies. The NOW brass, and women everywhere, are furious Mandell has used her professional position to prop up McPalin's hollow case for supporting women.
________
CA NOW president Patty Bellasalma released a statement saying:
"I can assure you that there is no local or state affiliate of NOW, including LA NOW, which endorses or supports the McCain/Palin ticket. John McCain and Sarah Palin oppose many of the rights and freedoms we have fought for throughout NOW's 42 years, and we will not be pushed back to the days of back-alley abortions, forced pregnancies, and pay discrimination without remedy."

Sarah Feylin & Joe Biden debate on SNL

Tina Fey is hella funny! Queen Latifah does a great job moderating here too. No commentary, just watch the video. Sadly this is pretty much how the debate went. Again, most of what appears to be satire, is pretty close to what Palin actually said in the debate.

Palin adressing Gay rights
"I believe marriage is to be a sacred institution between two unwilling teenagers."
Palin on Israel
"There's a special place for Israel in heaven."

Queen Latifah to join Tina Fey's Palin Parade

via TMZ
"Well-placed sources tell TMZ Queen Latifah is getting in the middle of the Sarah Palin/Joe Biden VP debate by portraying last night's moderator, PBS journalist Gwen Ifill, on "SNL" this week. For the third time this season, we're told Tina Fey will be back, hysterically not answering questions as Palin. You betcha! No word yet on who has been tapped to play Biden. Thanks to Latifah -- and since "SNL" has no female African-American cast member -- the world is saved from seeing Amy Poehler in black face."

As horrid as Palin would be for this country, I think she has single-handedly revived SNL. I mean fereal, SNL has not been funny for hella years, and now all the sudden its relevant again. When was the last time anyone posted one of their sketches on facebook? That said, Tina Fey has facilitated the rebirth and isn't even a cast member. For the good of the country I hope this broad is only relevant enough to satire for another month.

Biden v. Palin Rap Battle

I was gonna put up some live debate footage, but we all just watched that so I figure we could indulge in a little VP emcee battle footage instead. Basically, Sarah raps about as well as she answers elementary ass questions. I actually just decided that I would love to see her shifting her weight and stammering on that show Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? Can you imagine her with a geography question? Hilarity I'm sure.

Biden cleans her clock on this one, keepin the metaphors nice and his flow on topic. He also keeps it real hip-hop with the white veneer grill. Who doesn't support a bit of pandering to Bay Area and Southern rap heads?

As far as the real debate though? Biden handled business, didn't stray into any sort of attack mode that could be miscontrued as sexist and seemed much more at ease then the all-over-the-place Palin. Note to Sarah: You can't mention Wall Street corruption in your answer to every question, but then skirt the issue when it comes to addressing our current economic woes.

Scariest part for me though was her answer to the Palin as President scenario. Does she continue McCain's policies? Naw not even. She says she's a maverick too and woompty woomp, blazé blah and so ends the world as we know it.

Jay Smooth on the Republican Hater's Ball & Community Organizing

This is a tad bit dated as it is from the Republican National Convention era of the past month, but Jay's bit on community organizing struck a cord with me. Naturally the Palin fuckery didn't deter me either . . .
