Anytime you listen to a mixtape it seems every other track is a written that says "Freestyle." There is nothing wrong with writing raps, but it's disrespectful to pretend you crafted a gem out of thin air when you didn't. Here are a couple new collaborations from Fabby Davis Jr. The first is a remix of "California Love" from a Greg Street & Glasses Malone mixtape that puts current West Coast artists on old School Cali classics. Glasses and FAB both get down on this joint, but FAB sours the whole shit with an off-key auto-tuned hook.
Yesterday was 4/20 as we all know, so I was not the least bit surprised when Yukmouth tweeted the message below with the accompanying visual. Needless to say Yuk is a man of the greenery.
On the other side we have the newly treeless Mistah FAB who gave up smoking 2 months ago. He even recorded a 4/20 anthem for the cats who don't blow. He tweeted the message below:
This brings us to the big question, to blow or not to blow? I personally am not opposed to it, but rarely do. I'm just usually too busy and poor to mess with it, but I have spent virtually my whole life in Cali, so you already know what it is.
Wow! We know that @MistahFAB is a twitter addict, but he actually made a twitter record. I guess it was only a matter of time given how many MySpace "Top 8" references we have had to endure over the years from everyone and their mother. FAB even twitted that he might push this song to radio. At the end of the track he says, "I know some people will be like 'That's corny, look what hip-hop is coming to.' You know how the twaters do... But I love Twitter." LMAO.
