New Souls of Mischief track list & cover art

Yes, yes yall. Souls of Mischief is coming back with their first album in 10 years! It's called Montezuma's Revenge and the cover art is hella clean. “I dislike pictures that are purposely posed, so I would talk to each member and ask them to reenact certain memories and moments," noted artist Steven Lopez. "Those were the shots that I was looking for. It was like a picture that alludes to another story.”

I just hope that the album is as saucy as the cover art. Be sure to catch them at Slim's in The City on October 20th and check out the track list if it strikes your fancy.

Anytime you listen to a mixtape it seems every other track is a written that says "Freestyle." There is nothing wrong with writing raps, but it's disrespectful to pretend you crafted a gem out of thin air when you didn't. New Souls of Mischief Slumper: "Tour Stories"

So I was perusing the internets the other day and came across a new Souls of Mischief song entitled "Tour Stories" The sound is classic Souls featuring an ominous rumbling bassline behind a pretty laid back delivery. It's not bad at all. I have yet to ascertain if this is off an upcoming album however. Anyone heard anything to that effect?? '93 till '08 so far. . . Infinity still on the horizon.
