Must Read: Black Future Month Series on Thickwitness

I'm not sure how you celebrated Black History Month. Don't know if you engaged in the debate about it's relevance. Not sure if you went to some party that encouraged ass-clapping in the name of the ancestors ('cause some promoters do just about anything these days). Maybe you'll hit Malonga (formerly known as Alice Arts) to see Common on the 28th, peep the poets at Monday Soul, or rock with some other event on our side bar. Whatever you did or didn't do is not really the point of this post. This is about what I really really really want you to do.

From academia to arts and entertainment, author/poet/playwright/all around dope-ass person  Chinaka Hodge has highlighted a number of bright minds whose talent reminds you of rich legacies and future traditions. I'm talking New York MCs, So Cal based visual artists, D.C. dancers, and Oakland drummers. There are Ph.D candidates, chefs, and neuroscientists. It's great and inspiring and I'd rather you read the actual posts than read what I have to write about what was written.
