Mistah FAB in Good Spirits After Crash

Mistah FAB (born Stanley Cox) has had a rough week. After his mother was rediagnosed with cancer last week, his brother was charged with a crime spree that included attempted murder just two days ago. The Oakland Tribune reports below:

OAKLAND, Calif.—An ex-convict faces over a dozen felony charges for his role in an Oakland crime spree that allegedly included an attempted murder, a pistol-whipping and several robberies.

Police say 38-year-old Antjuan Cox is suspected of robbing an insurance office, a convenience store and a woman acquaintance last month to get money for drugs. During the insurance office holdup, a 61-year-old man was beaten with a gun.

Authorities also have charged Cox with stabbing his girlfriend in her sleep two days before Christmas. Sgt. Mike Gantt said Wednesday that Cox confessed to the crimes except for the attack on his girlfriend.

Authorities say Cox served prison time for carjacking. Another man has been arrested and two others are being sought as accomplices.

Still reeling from these charges, potentially his brother's 3rd strike, FAB got in a bad car accident last night in the grapevine on his way to LA. FAB's manager, Stretch, was driving on their way from a show in Bakersfield when they hit a puddle causing the car to flip three times. Or to hear FAB tell it to Talib Kweli via twitter "that grapevine last night was illy!!! Hit a puddle an did the FOOL."

FAB also reported via his twitter that though he can't walk right now, he is okay and in good spirits. Unfortunately his DJ, Tito Bell, has a collapsed lung and Stretch broke his back. Despite the dire circumstances FAB seems positive and thankful. He twitted "Thank you to everyone who had True concerns I appreciate u guys So much..pretty ruff week for me ..but shit im SURVIVOR ima b GOOD."
