Video: Exclusive 38thNotes Interview with Stephen Curry

A few weeks ago 38thNotes had the pleasure of hooking up with the starting Point Guard for the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry.  If you pay attention to college basketball or the NBA then his name is very familiar, and for those of you who are scratching your heads right now, go do some research.

One of the very few bright spots this year for the struggling Warriors, he finished the season with an amazing game scoring 42 pts. to go along with 9 rebounds and 8 assists.  Although he had some tough games, he was one of the most consistent players on the team and has my home vote for Rookie of the Year, for the little bit that its worth.

In this short interview we covered everything from his favorite spots in the Bay to the "I Love College" remix he made while attending Davidson. One of his comments that caught my attention the most were his plans to host a Oakland high school basketball tournament next year. At certain points the audio is a little shitty and I got distracted because we were watching one of the NCAA tournament games, so my apologies.

Be on the lookout for more exclusive 38thNotes's interviews coming soon and please LEAVE SOME LOVE!! Big shout out to Warriors World for the connect.

38th Notable: "Made in America"

If you're an Oaklander and haven't seen Made in America, you need to get with the progam. The 1993 flick stars Whoopi Goldberg, Ted Danson, Will Smith, Nia Long and the city of Oakland. Ted Danson runs a truck dealership on Broadway's auto-row, Will and Nia attend school at Oakland Tech (school scenes were filmed there) and Whoopi gets chased into Lake Merritt by a runaway elephant. Those are just a few of Oakland's starring moments and good reason to check out the film. And in case I forgot to mention it, it's also a good ass movie.
