Video: Exclusive 38thNotes Interview with Stephen Curry

A few weeks ago 38thNotes had the pleasure of hooking up with the starting Point Guard for the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry.  If you pay attention to college basketball or the NBA then his name is very familiar, and for those of you who are scratching your heads right now, go do some research.

One of the very few bright spots this year for the struggling Warriors, he finished the season with an amazing game scoring 42 pts. to go along with 9 rebounds and 8 assists.  Although he had some tough games, he was one of the most consistent players on the team and has my home vote for Rookie of the Year, for the little bit that its worth.

In this short interview we covered everything from his favorite spots in the Bay to the "I Love College" remix he made while attending Davidson. One of his comments that caught my attention the most were his plans to host a Oakland high school basketball tournament next year. At certain points the audio is a little shitty and I got distracted because we were watching one of the NCAA tournament games, so my apologies.

Be on the lookout for more exclusive 38thNotes's interviews coming soon and please LEAVE SOME LOVE!! Big shout out to Warriors World for the connect.

Great interview, it really seems like Steph enjoys and feels comfortable as a Warrior. He had a phenomenal rookie year and I can't wait to see his growth into one of the league's stars. I too would love to see this Oakland basketball tournament he's organizing; our neighborhoods always have boatloads of talent, and any way people can get noticed would be positive, not to mention how positive it would be for the whole community. I'm surprised we havn't had something like this in the past. On another note, I KNOW you told Steph about some spots to check out in the town!! He only named SF and Berkeley! Our local talent needs to experience the local pleasures and all that our great city has to offer. I know that the 38thnotes crew would never pass up an opportunity to spread oakland's wealth like this, so hope you mentioned Everett N Jones, Heiroglyphics, etc. And finally, I'm looking forward to that follow up interview at Chris Hunter's studio session. Great Post Tre Eight!
Be well

Dope!!! I gotta admit I was a bit of a curry hater after the draft but he won me over for the most part... My question is how did you manage to get the interview?? Was it planned or was he just at an event you were both at?
