Greetings dedicated readers and appreciators of local hip-hop culture! Because February is Black History month, Mr. DAGHE+DIGITAL designed a special edition cover paying homage to Oakland's legendary Black Panther Party for Self Defense. We here at 38thnotes are huge proponents of local history, but what becomes apparent every month is that our present is amazing too. Each month we worry that there won't be enough dope music to curate The Bay Abridged, and each month we have a gang of great songs left on the chopping block.
It's a blessing to be surrounded by so many talented artists producing the soundtracks to our lives. Please accept our profuse appreciation, we love yall! The following batch of musical excellence has been in rotation in the bedrooms, gyms, cafes, cars, and bart trains that constitute the 38thnotes offices. You guys should really look @ multiple online storage sites (megaupload,mediafire,sendspace), b/c gettin' stuff off divshare is a chore @ the moment I'm lookin' at 1hr download time...
