Video: Vote for Oakland's Erica Eng

Oakland filmmaker Erica Eng is competing in a Talenthouse competition to be mentored on set by famed music video director, Anthony Mandler. 38thnotes readers may remember Eng's video for "The Bridge" by DoDAT and Melina Jones, and the real OGs may even recall this gem she produced for Rafael Casal of the Getback co-starring Ruby Veridiano-Ching. It is the latter piece that could be Erica's calling card to a huge advance in her career. The Skyline grad has been working in the film industry in LA for a little while now, but could use a boost that we can help provide.

The piece she is riding to hopeful victory is a spoken word piece by Rafael Casal entitled "The First Week After a Break-Up." As any of us who have weathered this storm can attest, that first week (or month or year as the case may be) after a break up is torturous. Thankfully, that pain fades with time, positive reinforcement, good friends and a busy ass life.
