Video: Get:Live Session #6: Do DAT

Welcome back to the Get:Live Sessions ladies and gentlemen! Sadly this is the last episode of Season 1, but thankfully we are finishing up with the dapper stylings of Do DAT.  DAT is unlike anyone else, but likes everyone else. Which is to say that he's an ardent supporter of Bay Area hip-hop, but also challenges it with his evolutionary approach to music.  Perhaps the best way to explain his sound and style is to say that he expertly blends the urban and urbane– just like 38thnotes tries to do. His approach is at once jazz-inspired, rebellious, witty, indie, and fiercely Oakland.

Most recently DAT dropped his Oakland In Blue album and has since been collaborating with a host of other Cali artists. You may have also seen him ripping stages with the likes of Zion I, Foreign Legion, Rappin 4tay, Brwn Bflo and Dynamic Truth in the last couple of weeks. And of course if you see the kid live, you'll see him rip a venomous freestyle every time. Pay your respects to the DAT and the Get:Band and catch up on the rest of Season 1 below!
