Lately, the 38th Notes squad has been talking about content and options. We're trying to bring you even more of what the Bay has to offer including more artists and more events. You might consider it a New Year's Resolution of sorts (which are always good to start before the New Year so you have some practice), but really it's always been part of the vision. When I got the press release about The Vanguard Holiday Launch Party happening December 4th, I figured it would fit align perfectly with goals.
Yes, we've featured Martin Luther performances in our side bar, yes we rock with spoken word, but a museum fundraiser for their young professional's group at a private estate in the Oakland hills? That's a little different. But it's part of the culture and if you haven't peeped the new tagline, that's we're about: Bay Area Hip-Hop Culture.

So if you're looking for something new and trying to network while tasting wine, watching live art, and getting a dose of rebel soul, The Vanguard Holiday Launch Party might be for you. Ticket purchases also entitle you to a 40 percent discount on Vanguard Membership and the Museum of the African Diaspora.
