Erk always has a cool nonchalance about him; a dismissive confidence that is showcased in his music. That is a sound and appearance most rappers aspire to, but typically fall short of. Erk, on the other hand, has it in bundles. His Hood Nerd 2 tape is packed with introspection, gassing and a consistent awareness of how he may be viewed by the more turf-oriented elements of The Bay.
The title Memoirs of the Invisible Man intimates that he understands the grey area between backpack and turf rap in which he resides, but his current popularity trumps most of that genre ambiguity. The mixtape is nice and his recent Right Here EP is even better. So check out a little heat from the intro of his mixtape and then go get your download and purchase on, respectively.
Shout out to DJ Slowpoke and The Thizzler for the first peak.
