New Music: Beejus "I Invented It"

Beejus has been a constant force in Oakland's hip-hop scene for a minute now, but with "I Invented It," his take on Trey Songz's recent single, he has positioned himself to pass Go and collect $2. The "Streets Is Talkin" radio co-host has long been known as a bit of a freak with the Twit crowd, but up until now his music has been pretty straight laced.

Whether or not this joint indicates a purposeful shift in direction for him is anyone's guess, but it's clear that this #TwitterAfterDark aficionado could make waves in the same pool Too $hort once did. On "I Invented It" @Beejus expertly channels Uncle Ty's vulgarity, but also works in a Ludacris-ian wit to make a down right amusing cut.

Songs of this nature can sometimes be controversial and quick to offend, but Beejus's humor does a good job of diffusing that possibility. So my plea to you Beejus, channel that Twitter persona into more hilarious songs like this!
