Party for a good cause 2nite at 330 Rich!

Come out tonight for some dancing, drinking, fun and positive vibes as we party the night away for a great cause. DJ Aebl Dee will be spinning and playing the hottest Hip Hop and Reggae cuts with a special live performance from local band, The Hot Pockets (part of the Bayonics). The Hot Pocket is a five (5) piece band specializing in covers of classic Hip-hop, Funk and Soul, ranging from Snoop Dogg to James Brown.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/70627. 100% of proceeds from the door and the Raffle go directly to Opportunity Impact.

My Own Two Hands (MOTH) is a six (6) month old organization focused on promoting volunteerism. They organize and promote a volunteer event one morning a month with an existing Bay Area non-profit (past organizations include; SF Food Bank, Lake Merritt Institute, Alemany Community Gardens, Surfrider Ocean Beach Clean-up and Opportunity Impact) and show up with an informal group of volunteers ranging from 25 50 people. In addition, MOTH, which was formed by local twenty-somethings Aaron Dolores and Brady Thomas, will host fundraiser events for some of the exemplary organizations that they have worked with. This event is the first such fundraiser put on by My Own Two Hands.

Opportunity Impact is a San Francisco based non-profit, located in the heart of the Western Addition, working with at-risk youth (from Grades 4 to 8) living in public housing developments. They make a five (5) year commitment to each student and provide life-skills, enrichment and academic support. Although Opportunity Impact does receive some funds from grants with the City of San Francisco and school district, the majority of all monies used to operate are drawn from private donors and similar fundraisers.
