If you haven't read my piece on keeping the A's in Oakland, please click HERE. At the end of the day, beyond all the fiscal fuckery, the A's are Oakland's team and we need to reclaim them. GO TO THE GAMES! At this point turning our back on them only helps Lew Wolff, because we're validating his assertion that Oakland can't support a major league franchise. Are we doing well? Of course not. But if you're at all like me, the A's are inextricably linked to your identity and idea of home. You have shaken your head at them, cried with them, cheered for them, exalted them and groaned at them–but most importatnly, you've grown up with them. They are our team, and I rue the day that a carpet-bagging Scrooge is going to own a bigger chunk of my damn A's than me and my city.
Even if you're just on this blog for the music, MC Hammer was an Oakland A's bat boy (pictured above with his namesake Hammerin' Hank Aaron) and Too $hort rapped that he used to work concessions at the Coliseum."I'm from Cokeland, but I never sold cocaine
I used to sell CocaCola at the Oakland A's games"

This lastest featured t-shirt from Oaklandish evokes Oakland's dynamic baseball history, but directly benefits it's baseball future. Half the proceeds will go towards little league scholarships for kids and teens in need. Gotta love Oakandish.
