New Music & Video: The Cataracs: "Top Of The World"

The Cataracs are sticking and moving and don't plan on hitting the "pause" button any time soon. They recently starred in the video for Glasses Malone's first single "I Get Dough" (seen below) and now have unleashed their latest single, "Top Of The World."

Their song writing and production are being lauded left and right, but it's important to remember that they are game-changing leading men as well. It's unclear whether or not their Indie-Pop compatriot Dev is being phased in as an official member of the crew, but she lends some expert assistance on "Top Of The World."

"Top of The World" alternates between smooth pop and revved up dance music, again showcasing the Berkeley duo's versatility. It has swagger, humor and an infectious rhythm, all the requisites for a succesful pop song. Slap this track and be on the look out for a new Cataracs joint with Snoop Dogg soon!

New Music: Gucci Mane Ft. The Cataracs: "Vibrator"

Brrrrrrrr... it's cold in here, Gucci must be in the atmosphere! That's right folks, the recently liberated Gucci Mane has linked up with B-Town pop-stars The Cataracs for the song "Vibrator." It's a club ready banger produced by Campa and Cyrano (collectively The Cataracs) and features them on the hook as well. Gucci lends his catchy rhymes and rising star status to make the song complete. It seems like The Cataracs can make anyone sound good over a pop/hip-hop beat these days, and with the recent news that they will be linking up with Snoop, they better continue to come with their A game.

And for the record, who doesn't want a girl who can shake it like a vibrator? Sounds like the perfect song for all the 4th of July parties. Enjoi

The Cataracs Drop Dope Holiday Slappage

The Cataracs are all about fun and holiday cheer, and what better way to bring in the new year then by "Sippin' Champagne"? This is the latest pop-heater from Berkeley's Campa and Cyrano and it's gonna give you that giddy pre-party head lean. As reviewed in this new East Bay Express article, The Cata are proponents  and purveyors of fun pop music with wide appeal, rather than myopic regionally-specific slappage. That said, sometimes they do lace the kool-aid with a taste of home. Case in point below
