Oakland's favorite daughter swoons her way over a smoothed out new-age jump-off track on her latest offering, "Milk & Honey." The song is as smooth as the title infers, but is beautifully layered with more electronic elements too thanks to Bedrock's solid production. Goapele's voice has a timeless quality that is both silky and smokey, but her music feels very rooted in the present.
