My intro to Viveca Hawkins was at a Kev Choice show. The vocalist had a resume that include Berklee and working with Goapele, Blackalicious, The Coup, etc. A couple years later when I heard that she was the lead singer of The Memorials, I figured they were a soul, R&B, or funk outfit. Um, yeah, no. The Bay Area trio is a rock group. They've been touring the country to promoter their self-titled debut album, and tomorrow they hit The New Parish with Free Moral Agents for a high-energy, all-ages show. Wondering what to expect?
