Video: Los Rakas: "Kalle"

This time around Los Rakas are claiming the street with "Kalle." Whereas past videos have been more nuanced, this one seeks to capture the vibrant Afro-Latino street life of New York City. Shot primarily on the Brooklyn Bridge and in The Bronx, the PanaBaynian duo is claiming the East Coast as their next frontier.

Los Rakas has recently shared stages with Cypress Hill and Erykah Badu and toured with The Grouch and Brother Ali, bringing their mexcla of hip-hop, reggae and Latin dancehall to a whole new population of folks. The Fader darlings are just one of the many incarnations of Oakland hip-hop, but one with worldwide appeal.

As if on cue, Los Rakas will be performing at S.O.B's in New York this Tuesday. If you're out that way, head down there to catch a great show with Latin American MTV Award -inner Mala Rodriguez. Also check out dope joints from Raka Dun and Raka Rich on the June, October and TwitterCon editions of our Bay Abridged mixtape. Download them for FREE in the right sidebar!!
