In preparation of his forthcoming album, Frank The Rabbit, Locksmith is releasing some one-cut studio takes that can best be described as GAS. On "You Have No Idea" Lock sounds off on what it's like to be a dope artist in a corner of the world with no music industry. If you follow 38thnotes then you are probably already well-versed in this age-old dilemma. As Lock says, local artists typically have to go elsewhere to make it, and not claim the Bay in the process. I believe this is all true, but refuse to have a defeatist mentality about the matter. As long as there is more we can do to support each other, let's do that! And as long as we're exporting spit like Lock's, we shall overcome.
