38thNotes slept on Jay Ant for a cool minute. We can admit that. But we're sold now, and with the release of his new mixtape All About Being Cool (Fuck It Smile), he'll probably win over a lot more folks. We've had the rough cut of the tape since we interviewed him with our viral family WarriorsWorld, and we liked it so much that we debuted a couple of the cuts on the September edition of The Bay Abridged mixtape.
In person Jay Ant is a gregarious entertainer quick to randomly break into the cooking dance while yelling out "swag," but his music is decidedly more chill. You would be more likely to coast down the 101 blowing some Prop 19 while listening, than you would be to start cooking. But both sides feed the appeal of Jay Ant.
