Video: The Freshmen & Nio Tha Gift: "Hello There"

We recently featured The Freshmen's summer record, "Dreamin' California" on 38th Notes's The Bay Abridged mixtape. Here they crown those sentiments of summer with a new ode to beaches and the tranquil party life. Mike Ho's direction is cheeky but well-orchestrated over an Austin Powers-ish beat. Kristos and A-Wolf bob and weave as guest vocalist Nio The Gift breaks out his smooth singing voice for the summer.

If The Freshmen don't sound familiar, it should be said that A-Wolf was the emcee who gave Locksmith a run for his money during KMEL's battle series a few years back. The W officially went to Lock, but it was far from unamimous, especially since Wolf stuck to freestyling, while Locksmith broke out the writtens. Pair Wolf with Kristos's sharp pen and eclectic production, and you got a duo doing some big things.
