When I went to Rasputins back in October or Novemeber looking for Netta B's Electrik Rebel Sounds EP, I landed the last copy they had. Needless to say, the B-Town diva is in high demand. If you have her EP you've heard her beautiful voice and impressive versatility. If you've seen her videos you've seen her dancing ability and flair for Janet Jackson's dark artistic flair. And if you've seen her live, you've rocked out with her infectious energy and felt just how damn sweet she is. That's not a bad combination folks.
"That Boy Is Dope" is without a doubt an homage to the decade of our birth, a task that pruducer Traxamillion executes expertly. This song is as raw as it is for the marriage it arranges between modern hip-hop and 80s era R&B. In fact, for me, this song conjures up Michael Sembello's "Maniac," which leads me to a suggestion Ms. Netta B. If and when you choose to do a video for this song, might I recommend a tribute to this iconic scene from 1983's Flashdance? I think your modern take on Jennifer Beals's leg-warming solo performance (below) would comprise the perfect video for "That Boy is Dope." Don't say I didn't tell you! lol.

For fun, try muting the Flashdance clip and play Netta's song instead.

this shit is so damn old... so sad
The song is older yes, but she just released it for free download. Given that I try to respect artist's money, I didn't post it for DL till now. So, if you already had it, great. Just handing it out to those who were a little late. I don't find that sad. I think dope music is dope music, regardless of time
I thought the song was pretty decent; reminded me of Electrik Red...your Anonymous commenter is obviously a hatin ass hater LOL
