West Oakland representer and OLA affiliate Beejus goes in on a sparse Oops-produced slap on "The Formula." Brotha Beejus applies his signature freestyle cadence to explain his song-writing approach. "The Format" is the first single off his forthcoming mixtape In The Mind of Beejus.
You have probably heard Beejus as co-host of Streets Is Talking Radio and/or seen him as a frequent performer at Luka's recurring Fresh Steps show. In The Mind of Beejus will be his first release since his freestyle tape Spit That Shit Vol. 1. The last song we heard from him, "I Invented It," was funny and charismatic, and "The Format" is stripped down and gig-worthy, so it will be interesting to hear what direction his mixtape takes.
