The Prediction: 2010 will be full of fresh music from dope people. The Bay will go even harder to show the world that we are overflowing with talent. Artists will work collectively to reach the next level. This will in fact be the year of the Bay.
Witness Exhibit A: The Real Nerds Mixtape Series. Each season you'll be hit with a mixtape featuring local acts who have their sights set on... The official series launch is Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Luka's Taproom and Lounge (2221 Broadway, Oakland). The event is 9pm-1am. Show starts at 10pm. DJs Zita and Aebl Dee are gonna be showing off on the 1s and 2s and the list of performers is quite crazy. The ladies of Shugga Hunn Is Tea (Coco Peila, KrsytleAzul, and Isis Genesis) will hit stage plus Do D.A.T., Sandman, Dom Jones, and many more will rock the mic right. Real Nerds Vol. 1 will be available for purchase ($1), the show is 21+ and FREE. See you there.
