"We're Taking These Streets Back"

This song been around for a second or two, but given the renewed relevance of a "people vs the police" type mentality, here is DJ Wonway Posibul's anti-cop cut "The Push." It was triggered by the executions of Oscar Grant and Annette Garcia in conjuntion with a run in Wonway had with police. Pair this with Zumbi's "Cops Hate Kidz," Mistah FAB's "My Life" and Beeda Weeda & J. Stalin's "We Aint Listenin," and it's clear that Oakland hip-hop has not lost it's social awareness. Whether you agree of not, you have to respect folks sharing their thoughts through art.

On the track Wonway notes, "You can only get pushed so far before you push back. This isn't about being gangster, this is about human rights." "The Push" is off of the new DJ Whooligan helmed 40Love Mixtape.
