Speaking of building that bridge between Northern and Southern Cali, few have done so over the years with the effectiveness and dedication of the Living Legends. The Grouch (of Oakland) and Eligh (of LA) are both LL Crew members and are reuniting for their 4th installment of G&E Music. The Living Legends are infamous for their independent hustle and it continues to this day.
Above is the video for "All In" featuring Pigeon John on the hook and Gift of Gab of Blackalicious as the card dealer. The video is a take off on a gambling sting operation, not unlike my favorite movie ever! (The Sting). The more I get frustrated with the same types of songs coming out of the Bay, the more I embrace unique joints like this. I also have a lot of respect for The Grouch always representing for his wife and daughter in almost every song. There is no shame in his game, he's just keeping it 110% true to life.
