If the name Mike Marshall sounds familiar, but you can't quite place him, let me take you back a bit. The old school R&Bay frontman used to be the lead singer of the Berkeley-based Timex Social Club, who released their only album, Vicious Rumours, in 1986. Since TSC dissolved, Marshall has been all over the hooks of a variety of Bay Area artists. He is perhaps best known for singing the hook on The Luniz' classic "I Got 5 On It," but you can peep a couple of my personal favorites below. This video for "I Really Don't Want It" is off his new album, Soul of the Bay.
