Mac Dre & The Romper Room Gang on BET's American Gangster

Above: A Mac Dre mural in East Oakland. RIP Furl

If you are like me and don't have a TV, let alone cable, I present you with the Mac Dre/Romper Room Gang episode of BET's American Gangster. Yes it aired like 2 weeks ago, but I give myself a late pass. If you are interested in Furly, Mistah FAB cameos, Bay hip-hop, Vallejo, or even bank robberies, this is worth a watch. Daps to Tha Bizness for the feed

Is the Furl thing supposed to be like Mr. Furley from Three's Company?

Yes sir. I guess he's attracted to the cheesy leisure suits and shit? Mac Dre was pretty flamboyant. His most famous allusion to him is "My name is Furl, I'm the owner of the building"

Yeah, did you see the East Bay Express article about Soundwave Studios? They were speculating that Dre was talking about the owner of Soundwave with that line, but I always assumed it was a Three's Company thing. Guess I'm right.
