I feel bad for those vengeful enough to hate an entire population of beautiful people, but I respect their right to their views. However, when these close-minded folks go out of their way to deny rights to people just because they disagree with their lifestyle, that is flat out outrageous! I can respect a person's religious views, but there is a SEPARATION BETWEEN CHURCH AND STATE! That means that a political decision can not be made for religious reasons- so shut up with your "Adam and Steve" yammering.
If you don't like gay marriage, then don't get one. It's that simple. But don't go on about the sanctity of marriage when any couple with a penis and vagina between them can have a shot-gun wedding in Vegas, annul it, remarry for the sake of their love child and then get a nasty drawn out divorce that tears apart the fabric of their family and the community. Have you taken a gander at this country's divorce rate lately? Sanctity my ass.

Furthermore, as described by Samuel L. Jackson in the above commercial, its plain old discrimination. The Yes on 8 folks want to make it sound like gay couples are threatening the Constitution, but they are the ones trying to rewrite it. That is discrimination at its most obvious.
Even if you can't personally stomach the idea of being gay, that doesn't give you the right to outlaw others from making their own decisions and living their own lives. If you are okay with continuing this country's centuries old affair with bigotry and discrimination, then please stay at home on Tuesday. But if you want to protect our state, country and fellow man against hatred and inequality, then VOTE NO ON PROP 8!!!

Luke... I REALLY wish I could get on the internet more to read your stuff. I've always thought/known you are such a good writer and really cherished the times I've seen you perform as a poet. I like what I see here, only I wish everyone else saw it the same way. I had to state my piece as well, as I was shocked and surprised as to how much the passing of prop 8 actually affected me. check it out if you want, but otherwise, don't stop!
