Epic Hammerpants Flash Mob

In what appears to be LA, a flash mob strikes a hipster hot spot to show the skinny jean kids how to rock parachute pants via a suprise rendition of "Can't Touch This." It would be far more epic if I didn't think it was balatant promo for his new A&E reality series "Hammertime," but it's pretty funny nonetheless.

Trailer For MC Hammer's New Reality Show

Here is the trailer for Hammertime, the new A&E reality show featuring MC Hammer and his family. It seems like it will be a more middle class west coast version of Run's House, but that's mere speculation. One point of confusion however is that I've seem promo material say it will take place in Oakland, but Hammer lives in Tracy (suspect). The series premier will be on June 14th at 10pm EST.

If you grew up in the Bay Area from the late 1980s through the mid 90s you probably had a pair of hammer pants. Vallejo born and bred CC Sabathia seems to have never kicked the habit. I guess you can wear what you want though when you are a Cy Young award winner and the highest paid pitcher in major league history. Too bad he's now a New York Mercenary. I wish him luck though. The Yankees? Not so much.

Could it be that CC's nostalgic uniform stylings have catapulted MC Hammer back into relevance? It's that or his obsessive Twitter game. Either way, Hammer has somehow secured a reality show on A&E. All the promotional pieces I've seen say that the show will take place in his family's Oakland home. Too bad he lives in Tracy...
