Earlier this summer WarriorsWorld, the official Warriors blog, caught up with Oakland native Leon Powe who was in town putting on his 4th annual basketball camp for kids in the community. Here he talks about his knee injury, Lebron leaving the Cavs, what Oakland means to him, and what he thinks about the Warriors.
Leon has always been the hard-nosed epitome of Oakland, leading 38thNotes to head up a push to bring him home last summer. Overcoming his tough background and continuing to overcome his personal injuries, he has become a role model for our whole city. He never quits and maintains a great attitude while traversing his hardships. Keep it up Leon and good luck this year.
Bonus Video: Leon does a quick interview for The Daily Cal while he was rehabbing his knee. I guess I will have to check out Gypsy's when I'm in Berkeley. Enjoi
