A few weeks back we reminisced on Souls of Mischief and the classic "'93 til Infinity." Watching the video yet again, hearing the East Oakland shout out, and peeping Young Gully's remake had us aching for more from the core of the legendary Hiero crew. Good thing they just released their album Montezuma's Revenge and a video to match entitled "Won One." Shot in one take and projected onto the stark city scape, the black and white visuals take on a brash old school hip-hop feel. Director Don Tyler's approach ensures that the focus is on the MCs and their rhymes– frequently seen atop big city buildings for added emphasis. No bright lights, nothing glossy, no dancers or models, just the music.
