Video: Isis Genisis: "Illuminating"

If you've seen Isis Genisis perform before, chances are you're anticipating the next time you get to witness her take the mic and shut it down. We're talking big vocals, high energy, lots of color, and feathers. While some artists are content with minimal movement and lip syncing, she hits the stage to put on a show. Holding her own next to dope MCs like her best friend Do D.A.T. and standing out even when she sings backup.

This weekend you can catch this super funky Oakland girl on the main stage at Oakland Pride. The event takes place Uptown from 12-6pm and features 60 artists including Yo-Yo and the music legend Chaka Khan. Oh and it's just $5 to get in.
