Video: ESPN’s 30 for 30: One Night in Vegas ‘When Tupac met Iron Mike’

Tupac Shakur was gunned down in Las Vegas 14 years ago yesterday. He would go on to die six days later. Much has been written about the man, the myth and the martyr, but somehow we continue to uncover new angles. For the latest installment of ESPN's amazing 30 for 30 series, they highlight the relationship between 2Pac and Mike Tyson as their careers rose and fall in near unison.

The special features interviews with Mike Tyson, Micky Rourke, Michael Eric Dyson, Suge Knight, Maya Angelou,  Afeni Shakur and others as they piece together the two icons' stories through their fragmented relationship. The interviews, comic book graphics, spoken word, stories and insight frame their parallel journeys to dramatic effect. I definitely learned a bit more about Iron Mike, and is the case with most things that involve Pac, felt chills throughout.

Time still hasn't evaporated the sadness I feel for the loss of the enigmatic ghetto sage at such a young age. Rest in Peace Pac.
