There is no one in the music game who does shit like Ray Ray. From revisiting a brand of soul left alone decades ago, to making his band dress the dated part, he is truly on his own hype. He wasn't born like this though, and surely his time with Prince and Oakland's Shiela E helped color his perception of the world and himself. Here Saadiq shares some memories from an early tour in Japan with Shiela E. At this point in his life, he is fresh out of Castlemont High School, touring a foreign land and partying with Prince.
