Jason Giambi's Belated Going Away Present

As my birthday approaches, I have been pondering what gifts I want from all my beautiful family and friends. Of course there are the usuals on the list: money, clothes, and a car, but this year something new popped up on my list- a Jason Giambi Bobblehead! Yes you heard me, one of the greatest Oakland A's players of all time is going to get his own bobblehead, but there is just one problem, he isn't on the team anymore.

Jason was released by the A's on August 7th, after putting up sub-par numbers that did not match up with the tema's expectations. Although he had 11 Home Runs and 40 Runs Batted In, he only managed to put up a .193 batting average. Giambi's tats, locks and long balls were the face of the franchise for many years– perfect the young happy go-lucky A's teams of the early 21st century. But as most A's have done, he reached stardom and left for a big contract. signed with the lowly Yankees, something a lot of us die hard fans still find hard to stomach. Much to A's fans chagrin he didn't do so hot for the hated Yankees. Things were going so bad that he even tried to steal some of Rickey Henderson's talent, by copping a feel.
But I digress. Does anybody know if a player has had a bobble head day and not even been a part of the team? While they're at it the A's should come out with a bobble head depicting his brother Jeremy Giambi not sliding into home during the 2001 American League Division Series against the Yankees. The game is tonight at 7:05 against the Tigers and the first 15,000 fans get a bobble head. Please shut your computer down before you guys all rush out to get one of these collector items.

P.S. I don't really want one for my birthday, but I am taking donations for my college tuition.

Victor Martinez had his bobblehead day in Cleveland the day after he was traded to the Red Sux. He had been with the indians his whole career and was super choked up in the interviews... shady they couldnt have waited one more day to give him a proper send-off
