Rest In Peace Michael Jackson

As you all know the King of Pop just passed away yesterday at the age of 50. He was without a doubt the biggest star of his generation and, to many people, of all time. Like many, I have spent the night listening to old MJ cuts, but in the process I also came across this rare 1979 interview at Soul Beat TV here in Oakland. So yes, I will find the Oakand in anything. Trust.

BONUS:
Oakland star and former VIBE Editor-in-Chief Danyel Smith pays tribute to MJ over at CNN.com.

Oakland author Ishmael Reed comments on the unfair depictions of Michael Jackson and "Black America" in mainstream media.
