Mistah FAB Speaks Out For Mumia Abu Jamal

Footage just surfaced this week of a speech Mistah FAB gave a couple of months ago at an event honoring Mumia Abu Jamal's 55th birthday. In it, FAB speaks on Mumia, the 432 years his brother is serving in prison and his efforts at bridging the gap between hip-hop and social activism.

FAB gets a bad rap from those who seek to write him off as a trendy twittering vestige of the hyphy "movement," but that doesn't do him justice. FAB is an intelligent cat who represents for both the ups and downs of hip-hop, Oakland and the world in his music. If you don't believe me check out his speech (above) and read this interview I did with him on poverty and community/police relations.
